Miley Cyrus’ Mom Tish and Kaitlynn Carter Have Met ‘A Few Times’: She Has ‘Given Her Seal of Approval’
Getting serious! Miley Cyrus’ mom, Tish Cyrus, was spotted having lunch with the pop star’s rumored girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter on Saturday, August 17 — but that’s not the first time they hung out. “They’ve actually met a few times,” a source exclusively told In Touch. “Tish met Kaitlynn a month or so ago in the U.K., and they’ve also all met up in L.A. before Miley and Liam [Hemsworth] announced the split.”
Even though some people may think the 26-year-old moved on rather quickly, it seems like Miley is ready for the next chapter in her life. “Tish has given her seal of approval and really likes Kaitlynn and thinks she’s fun,” the insider added. “Tish’s main priority is Miley’s happiness.”
The “Wrecking Ball” crooner and The Hunger Games actor, 29, recently called it quits after over 10 years together. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” her rep told People on August 10. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Kaitlynn, 30, and her former husband, Brody Jenner, announced they were going their separate ways on August 2. “They love and respect one another and know that this is the best decision for their relationship moving forward,” Brody’s rep Scott Newman told In Touch in a statement at the time.
After their respective breakups, Kaitlynn and Miley were spotted canoodling and making out during their Italian getaway. Multiple sources revealed to In Touch that the singer and the blogger actually met through their estranged husbands who often surf and hang out together. “Miley will go to Kaitlynn’s house late night — dropped off in an SUV — and spend hours there. They’ve been friends for a while,” an insider exclusively dished. “This also isn’t their first trip together. They were in England last month together but didn’t post pics together, just separates of them each at Stonehenge.”
It turns out that the two beauties bonded over their mutual heartbreak. “Her and Miley became close within the past few weeks because they connected over their breakups and leaned on each other,” a source told Us Weekly.
As long as Miley is happy, then that’s all that matters!
