When the two reconnected in early 2016 after calling off their engagement back in 2013, fans couldn’t help but wonder when the two love birds planned on getting hitched — and it turns out they’re in no rush!
“Miley wants to make a major splash when she returns to the limelight,” an insider tells Hollywood Life of the 24-year-old. “Once she returns to The Voice [next fall], she wants to put out new music, tour, and so much more. She wants to perform at Coachella and be involved in a future Super Bowl, either doing the halftime show or the National Anthem. She wants to check out many major career goals, so marriage and kids are way down the list of what she wants to achieve in the next two, three years.”
Her decision to wait to walk down the aisle shouldn’t come as a surprise — Miley has previous said that she doesn’t need a white dress and a marriage license to prove that she’s committed to the Australian hunk, 27.
“I think young people have a different idea of partnering and now feeling that this necessarily means this is going to have a legal document signed and dated,” she explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in October.
“It’s really sharing a life with someone and not about a legal paper that tells me anything.”
