Former Disney actress Miley Cyrus appeared to have struggled with her public transition from child star to full-blown music artist — and fans grew concerned over the years thanks to her outlandish behavior and openness about using drugs.
In a new interview, the former Hannah Montana star revealed that she has given all of that up.
“This is crazy, but I haven’t smoked weed in three weeks!” she said in a new interview with Billboard. “I like to surround myself with people that make me want to get better, more evolved, open. And I was noticing, it’s not the people that are stoned. I want to be super clear and sharp because I know exactly where I want to be.”
Miley later added, "It’s easy, dude. When I want something, it’s f--king easy for me. But if anyone told me not to smoke, I would not have done it. It’s because it was on my time. I know exactly where I am right now."
“I think weed is the best drug on earth. Hollywood is a coketown, but weed is so much better. And molly, too. Those are happy drugs — social drugs. They make you want to be with friends,” she told Rolling Stone back in 2013. "I really don’t like coke. It’s so gross and so dark. It’s like what are you, from the 90s? Ew.”
At the time, she also pointed out that “you’re out in the open” when you use social drugs, as opposed to "everyone in line in the bathroom [and] trying to do a line in the bathroom.”
We're so glad to hear that she's doing better!
