She’s thriving! Meghan King Edmonds was all smiles as she stepped out on Thursday, February 20. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum had been struggling amid divorce drama with estranged husband Jim Edmonds, but in exclusive photos obtained by In Touch, she looked better than ever.
The outing was a rare one for Meghan, 35. After finally settling her custody battle with her ex in November 2019, the former Bravo star has been avoiding the spotlight. Agreeing to a 50/50 split wasn’t what the star initially had in mind, and a source told In Touch at the time that the mom of three was “not happy” with the arrangement. “Meghan didn’t want Jim to get equal/joint custody, but that’s exactly what happened,” the insider said. “She expected him to get less.”
Since then, the blonde beauty has been open about the toll her legal battles took on her. In December, she seemingly cited the divorce as the reason for her slight figure. “I’m too thin,” she agreed after a fan pointed out just how skinny she was looking in a family photo. “I’m a stress non-eater. I’m working on it.”
In a blog post titled “Eat a Burger,” she opened up even more about her weight. “I am not OK,” she told her followers. “Within the last 5 months I have found out my son has a lifelong brain injury, my husband had a sexting relationship with another woman, my husband also betrayed me with his inappropriate relationship with a nanny, my husband filed for divorce via the tabloids, the police questioned my fitness as a mother, I took a new job as a podcaster and I moved into a new home in California so I can devote family time to all of my kids during Hart’s therapy. Let me reiterate: all of this has happened within the last 150 days.”
Though Jim, 49, has denied many of those claims, including allegations that he cheated with the nanny, it’s easy to see how all of it can pile up. And though Meghan claimed she’s doing about as well as can be expected, she shared she has been affected by it all. “I agree, I’m too thin. Acknowledgement is powerful and allows me to psychologically take back control,” she wrote. “However, you hurt me when you mention it. I’m working on it. Please, sit back and watch me thrive despite my setbacks. The best is yet to come.”
