Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds’ Marriage Was Rocked With 2 Cheating Scandals Before Split
Love lost. Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds, and former MLB player Jim Edmonds split in October 2019 after six years together and five years of marriage. But what transpired between the couple during their whirlwind relationship and marriage was nothing short of dramatic, with not one, but two alleged cheating scandals.
Jim’s first run-in with infidelity was in June 2018 when he began a texting relationship with Jennifer McFelia Villegas. At the time, he and Meghan had just welcomed twin sons, Hayes and Hart.
One year later, the father’s affair came to light after rumors started to swirl that he had been unfaithful. The sports commentator owned up to his mistakes and publicly addressed the matter in June 2019. “Regrettably, I had a lapse in judgment. I engaged in an inappropriate conversation with this person,” Jim told Us Weekly. “At no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact. Absolutely none. This is someone trying to profit from my name. I am aware she has done this to others in the past.”
It appears the exes couldn’t move past their issues, leading Jim to file for divorce one day after their fifth wedding anniversary. Shortly after the news of their split broke, several sources told Us Weekly Meghan had accused Jim of having an affair with their nanny the morning he filed for divorce. Both he and the nanny have denied the accusations.
Three months following their breakup, Jim moved on with girlfriend Kortnie O’Connor. “Jim is obsessed with Kortnie. He says he’s having a great time and he’s finally happy. They have fun together,” an insider told In Touch about their romance in March.
As for Meghan, she found love with entrepreneur Christian Shauf in May. “They have a lot in common, and they’re both really into each other,” another source exclusively told In Touch.
Although Meghan and Jim may have moved on from their tumultuous relationship, it looks like their feud is far from over.
