It’s the end of a chapter. Matt Lauer and his ex, Annette Roque, have officially finalized their divorce, In Touch can confirm. A Suffolk County Supreme Court judge signed the paperwork solidifying their newfound status on Thursday, September 5. The TV host and his former flame split back in 2017 after his firing amid a slew of sexual misconduct allegations.

The scandal clearly put Lauer, 61, and Roque, 52, on shaky ground with their relationship, as she allegedly kicked him out of their house shortly after the shocking reports surfaced. She ultimately filed for divorce from Lauer in July 2019 at the Suffolk County Court in New York. The exes previously exchanged their vows in October 1998 and they share three children together, a daughter named Romy, 15, as well as two sons, Jack, 18, and Thijs, 12.

It was previously revealed that Roque and Lauer had agreed to divide up their properties. The Amsterdam native will claim the Hamptons horse farm and her now ex-husband will keep their land in New Zealand. She’s even getting a lump sum of $25 million from Lauer in the settlement, according to Us Weekly. The former flames also agreed to joint custody.

On the bright side, it looks like Roque and Lauer are on better terms these days. The two were spotted smiling and laughing together while cheering on their daughter, Romy, at the Hampton Classic Horse Show on Wednesday, August 28.

A source told In Touch exclusively they were “very friendly” with each other at the event. “They spent the entire time together side by side, chatting, cheering on Romy, taking photos. Matt and Annette were together for hours.”

“Annette and the kids virtually went into hiding to heal from the scandal and divorce,” the insider further explained, while giving an update on how they are getting along. “They’ve come out on the other side.”
