Besties! Actor Matt Damon was spotted visiting Ben Affleck’s house in Brentwood in Los Angeles, California, on June 27. Could they be working on a project together? The two are old friends, after all, and have been in several movies together in the past. Or were they just hanging out and catching up like old buddies tend to do? It’s good to see that they’re still apparently hanging out, especially amid all the challenges Ben, 46, has faced in recent years. In October 2018, the Batman actor shared an emotional statement to Instagram about completing a forty-day rehab stay at a center for treating alcohol addiction.

“The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans means more to me than I can say,” Ben wrote at the time. “It’s given me strength and support to speak about my illness with others … With acceptance and humility, I continue to avail myself with the help of so many people and I am grateful to all those who are there for me. I hope down the road I can offer an example to others who are struggling.” Among those who have stuck by him? Matt, of course.

Matt is “a huge support” for Ben as he continues to work on recovery, Us Weekly reported in September 2018. “He’ll always be there for Ben whenever he needs him.” Isn’t that what friends are for?
