Everything We Learned About Javi and Kail’s Relationship From ‘Marriage Boot Camp’ So Far

Ah, the never-ending cycle of Javi Marroquin and Kailyn Lowry‘s relationship. The Teen Mom 2 reality stars wed in 2012 after a whirlwind relationship documented on the show. Together, they had son Lincoln, 3, and parented 25-year-old Kailyn’s son from a previous relationship, Isaac Rivera. Now, fans are watching their relationship’s demise on WE Network’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

But after three years of less-than-blissful marriage, the couple endured a tumultuous split. Since breaking up, things have gotten pretty heated between the exes with Kail even accusing her former husband of leaking the news of her third pregnancy to media outlets.

After news of Kail’s pregnancy broke, Javi seemed genuinely hurt and he tweeted, “I thought we divorced cause she didn’t want more kids? That’s weird.” Kail responded by tweeting, “You blamed me for miscarrying and our marriage was toxic, why would I want more kids with you?”

Who did Kailyn cheat on Javi with?

On a previous episode of Teen Mom 2, viewers watched Javi and Kail both gave their sides of the blowout argument that occurred when Javi found Kail at home with a another man. He accused her of cheating on him, though Kailyn says that’s not the case.

“The guy in the episode has been Kail’s friend for years, Javi acted like he walked in on something romantic between those two, but he didn’t,” a source revealed to Radar Online. “They’ve been friends for a few years and tried to see their potential romantically. They are still together.”

But Kail insisted that that was not the case, and she said that was confident that “the truth will eventually reveal itself.” In a later episode, fans see Javi find out that Kail is pregnant with Chris Lopez’s baby. Many fans think that Chris is the man who Kailyn “cheated” with and they are convinced that Javi caught Chris with Kail when he walked into the house.

Have Kail and Javi hooked up?

Nope! Kailyn and Javi had drastically different reasons for going on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars — Kail went with the intentions of learning how to co-parent for the sake of their three-year-old son, while Javi had hopes of reconciling their relationship. The two haven’t hooked up or had sex since their split.

“No, we haven’t. Never. Once I’m done with someone like I’ve never actually gone back — so that would be really weird,” the 25-year-old said during an interview on Bachelor alum Olivia Caridi’s Mouthing Off podcast.

Was Javi on life support?

In an emotional exercise on Marriage Boot Camp, Dr. V. had Kailyn write a negative letter to her ex-husband, in which she said she didn’t want her boys to grow up like him. But once she saw him in a simulated situation, in which he looked and appeared to be dying and on life support, the mother of three couldn’t bring herself to read him the letter. Instead, she teared up.

“Even though I have said the things that I wrote in the letter a million times, it wasn’t appropriate in the time and place,” she told Javi. “I care about you so much, and I never knocked you as a father, and I’ll make sure that our son is taken care of.”

Later in the episode, Javi told her, “I didn’t think you were gonna cry. But I wanted to hear that you [were] upset.”

When was Marriage Boot Camp filmed?

All signs point to Marriage Boot Camp being filmed around October 2016. In February, Javi revealed the duo had filmed the show, though he admitted it didn’t elicit the end he was looking for.

“Me, I went in there with open arms,” he told Us Weekly. “I was open to the advice from the doctors and maybe we can make this marriage work. It’s easier for her to say no when you have something going on at home. You’ll see,” Javi said back in February, implying that Kail was seeing someone back in Delaware — likely her baby daddy Chris Lopez — while the two were trying to “fix” their relationship.

Did Javi and Kail get back together in 2017?

No, the couple did not get back together after Kail filed for divorce last year. She gave birth to her third son, Lux, with baby daddy Chris Lopez in August, and Javi has moved on with girlfriend and fellow co-star, Briana DeJesus. Javi confirmed their relationship on Oct. 24 and said they “decided to make it official” after reuniting in Los Angeles to film the reunion special. “We are dating,” Javi said. “We’ve been friends for a while and we weren’t in a rush.”
