Mark Salling was arrested for possession of child pornography on Dec. 29 after police reportedly found more than 1,000 child abuse images and videos on his computer, including photos of kids younger than 10.
Now, Mark’s friend of 13 years, Hudson Wells, speaks out for the first time and tells In Touch exclusively that Mark is devastated.
“He's reeling from the whole thing," Hudson, who went to Mark’s house to care for his animals in the wake of his arrest, tells the mag. “He's devastated. He’s ruined."
"I don’t know whether he’s guilty of what he’s been charged with, but I think there’s got to be some sort of substance to the allegations," Hudson tells In Touch. "I don’t think the police would have gone to his house and taken him to jail if he was completely innocent."
The cast of Glee.
One unnamed ex-girlfriend reportedly tipped off the police, but Hudson says many of Mark’s exes might have cause to seek revenge.
"I wouldn’t say he’s been in any lasting relationships — I’d call him an opportunist,” says Hudson. "With his fame, he gets women whenever he wants."
"I think he could have made wiser decisions," Hudson says of his friend, that could face up to 10 years in prison, "to not bring him to this point in his life."
