Um, awkward! For months, fans believed Mackenzie McKee was set to join the cast of Teen Mom OG, but after Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd were added to the roster, she took to Twitter with a cryptic message.

“I’ve been done real dirty this year let’s just say that….” Mack wrote, following up with, “Like so much has slapped me right in the face it’s not even funny.” Of course, she doesn’t explicitly say what she’s upset about, but it came right after Cheyenne was announced as the new castmember on OG, so fans are pretty confident that’s what she’s talking about.

“Right like how can they pick Cory over you!! He’s from the real world not teen mom!! He’s not even a teen parent!” said one flustered supporter. Another agreed, saying, “Don’t tell me you aren’t in @TeenMom_OG anymore? They full on introduced you to everyone and I know you were filming. How stupid if you aren’t, that’s so sad @MTV ??.”

When Farrah Abraham was fired from the series, fans were anxious to know who would replace her, and many reports claimed it would be Mack back in February. Producers reportedly first approached her for the gig while she was filming a two-hour special about her mom’s heartbreaking cancer battle, and she had reportedly spent a couple of weeks filming. She even seemingly confirmed the casting news by retweeting an article about it, so it sounds like she was blindsided.

Even before then, some very clever fans had a feeling that Mackenzie would be Farrah’s replacement thanks to some very subtle clues. First of all, she told fans that her daughter’s birthday might be seen somewhere “larger than a phone screen,” Then she was spotted holding Starbucks in a photo (which many of the girls drink on the show). Lastly, she Snapchatted her mom Angie Douthit talking to executive producer Morgan J Freeman.

For her part, Farrah told Us Weekly, “I wish them all the best with the show. I’m out on a high note. This is the longest season in history and I’m their biggest star. I can do my own show, but I don’t want to focus on reality TV. I’m focusing on scripted opportunities but will always enjoy a good reality TV project. I don’t know what the show is doing. You could take all the girls on all the series, but none can bring or do as much as I do for the series.”

If you haven’t kept up with Mackenzie after TM3, you’ll be happy to learn that she and husband Josh McKee have moved past their marriage problems and are happily and lovingly raising their three kids together. We would have loved to watch them!
