Luke Perry’s Daughter Got a Tattoo in His Honor and Says She Misses Him ‘Every Moment of Every Day’
Never forget. Sophie Perry — Luke Perry’s daughter — revealed in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, May 8, that she made a permanent tribute to her father after his tragic death in March. The blonde beauty revealed that she has four tattoos and one of them is a mushroom on her wrist.
“The mushroom is symbolic of my dad, which you can read about in a recent post,” she said in the clip. “On my story highlights, I have a story about why my nickname is Lemon, so that is what lemon is for. I have a couch on my ankle and a violet on my rib — those both have meanings that I have just never posted.”
On May 3, the teenager shared a photo of the vegetable that she saw in the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve in California. “In December, I went to San Francisco with two of my best friends. One of them had never been to California, so we went to show him the Redwoods. I took this picture while we were there because I thought, ‘Damn, those mushrooms are beautiful,’” she wrote. “Now, mushrooms hold an entirely new meaning for me. Any explanation I give will not do justice to the genius that is the mushroom burial suit, but it is essentially an eco-friendly burial option via mushrooms.”
She added, “All I can say is that you should look into them at coeio.com or just by googling ‘mushroom burial suit.’ My dad discovered it and was more excited by this than I have ever seen him. He was buried in this suit, one of his final wishes. They are truly a beautiful thing for this beautiful planet, and I want to share it with all of you.”
Sophie went on to detail how much she missed her dad. The 18-year-old replied to one user, writing, “Every moment of every day. I will NEVER not miss him.”
The humanitarian also talked about one of her favorite memories with the Riverdale star. “I mean, there are so many and really f–king hard to pick,” she said. “But one that isn’t super personal and super sweet — when I was a kid, we would go to the Santa Monica Pier and ride the sea dragon and when I was scared, he would sing “A Whole New World” from Aladdin to me and yeah.”
On March 4, Luke died at just 52 years old after suffering a massive stroke. One week later, he was buried in Dickson, Tennessee, since he owned a farm in the area.
For now, it seems like Sophie is trying her best to move on with her life. “Well, isn’t that a complicated question???? I’m doing OK for the most part but ya know!” she said when one follower asked her how she was doing recently.
