In the new issue, The Bachelorette alum Luke Pell tells In Touch exclusively that not only was Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor "terrible," he also thinks he would have done better as the lead.

“I definitely would have made a better Bachelor,” Luke, 32, says. "I’m one of the most genuine and honest people.”

The war veteran (and fan favorite!) found out he had lost the role of The Bachelor to Nick just hours before he was set to board a flight to LA to begin filming.

“Based on the unsolicited feedback I’ve gotten from people, this season has been terrible,” he adds.

Luke also reveals that he believes Nick was only on the show for fame. “He could have ended this season and [gone back to a normal life], but instead he chose to do the most narcissistic thing you can do, which is Dancing With the Stars. I think that makes a statement.”
