The Love & Hip Hop: New York star shared this throwback high school photo with her followers — where she looks nearly unrecognizable.

Cardi has been open in the past about having a tough time growing up, which led her to become a stripper at a young age.

“I was poor as hell,” she previously revealed. “I was living with my ex-boyfriend, who was beating my ass. I had to drop out of school. It was crazy.”

The rapper disclosed the news to her mother during an argument, though she previously believed Cardi was babysitting for “white people who are so rich.”

“One time she got me mad and we were arguing,” she said. “And I was like, ‘Oh it’s your fault, because you kicked me out of the house and that’s why I’m stripping!’ And she just pushed me down the staircase.”

Cardi seemingly confirmed her relationship with rapper Offset earlier this month when they were spotted at the Super Bowl together. She was previously linked to her costar Swift, and before that was engaged to the currently incarcerated Tommy Geez.

“I’m not the type of person to go on typical dates,” she previously admitted. “I’m the type like, ‘Babe I wanna go out today, let’s go to the club.’ I love going to clubs. I love the strip clubs. Oh, and there’s food in the strip club, so win-win.”
