‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ Star Bambi Is Pregnant, but She Admits It’s Been a “Struggle”
After tons of speculation, it's been confirmed — Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Bambi Benson is pregnant! Bambi is expecting baby No. 1 with her husband Lil Scrappy, and she took to Insgtagram to confirm the news and she also shared an update on her health during her first trimester with her fans. Even though she said she's been struggling, it's nice to see that her hubby is doting on her and it looks like he's not the only one taking care of Bambi. He shared a sweet photo of his daughter Emani Richardson — whom he shares with his ex and baby mama Erica Dixon — helping her stepmom, who seemed to be feeling the effects of some pregnancy symptoms.
Their news was teased in the mid season trailer for VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta when a scene featured Scrappy announcing Bambi’s pregnancy to his mother, Momma Dee. "You finna give me a grandbaby?" Momma Dee squealed with excitement, and Scrappy asked his mom to keep it a secret until they were ready to reveal it to the rest of the cast — but it seemed like she accidentally let it slip while out with Rasheeda and the rest of their co-stars.
Bambi recently opened up about why she decided to keep her pregnancy a secret for so long in an interview with The Shade Room. She explained that since she had experienced an unfortunate miscarriage in the past, she wanted to wait until she was in a "safe" place in her pregnancy before she shared it with the world. Bambi is currently about 20 weeks pregnant, and the couple does not know the sex of the baby yet — but fans think Bambi is having a boy because of her symptoms.
"Congrats on the baby [and] marriage. Boys make you sick," one fan wrote, while another commented, "I couldn't swallow my own saliva either ugghhh [sic]. Yeah, it's a boy."
