Hard to swallow. Little People, Big World star Matt Roloff said he was “disappointed” by the “shade” ex-wife Amy Roloff threw at him in her tell-all book during an interview on the “First Class Fatherhood” podcast.

“I didn’t think the book was really fair to me — for me knowing her real-life story,” the father of four said on the Monday, March 23 episode of her 2019 book “A Little Me.” Matt added there was “some disingenuous nature to the book, which surprised him since Amy is typically a “genuine person.” He continued to state, “She left out pretty major parts of her life that would have thrown balance to the story.”

The reality star admitted the book was “hurtful,” noting it took “time to process and absorb it.” Matt also said he saw some flaws in the story that painted an incorrect picture for readers. “I wish she wouldn’t have left out parts that would have changed people’s perspective on our marriage and the reasons our marriage had troubles,” he said. “I understand the marriage fell apart, in the end we grew apart.”

Overall, he has nothing but kind words for his ex. “Amy is a wonderful person and we raised four wonderful amazing kids together I look back at our marriage with a lot of success.”

In April 2019, Amy was elated to tell fans her book would be available for pre-order. “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry,” she wrote in her Instagram announcement. “So much of me is in this book. It’s sometimes raw, funny, real and definitely vulnerable. A glimpse into my life growing up to now and the challenges I’ve faced and [overcome]. I wanted to share it with you and can’t wait for you to read it.”

Since Amy and Matt divorced in 2016, they have both moved on to other partners. In September 2019, Amy announced she is engaged to Chris Marek, while Matt is currently dating Caryn Chandler. Looks like it all worked out for the best!
