Working on her post-baby body!
It's been about three weeks since Tori Roloff gave birth to her first child — a baby boy named Jackson — with her husband, Zach Roloff. And while the Little People, Big World stars love being first-time parents, Tori is getting candid about the realities of childbirth and the toll it can take on a woman's body.
The 26-year-old took to Instagram to share a side-by-side photo to document her post-baby body progress — and now that she's working on her snapback, she's reminding herself and other new moms that it's okay to love their bodies.
"The woman's body is the craziest thing. The fact that I was able to grow a human has given me so much respect for my body. Love what the good Lord gave you. He knows what he's doing," Tori wrote, adding the hashtag "#LoveYourself."
Tori has been open about her struggles with her body and the weight gain she experienced throughout her first pregnancy.
"I have never been one to dislike my body but I have always been very self-conscious. I think the biggest adjustment this pregnancy has brought about is, even more, body self-awareness," Tori wrote back in January. "People don't always say the right things to a pregnant lady and even though I know it's not malicious, it's still a blow to [my] self-esteem each time."
But she explained that the thing that helped her get over her hangups about her body is remembering that she is growing a child inside of her, which is something that not every woman gets to experience, and it's a blessing in itself.
It also helps that her hubby Zach seems to be giving her all the support she needs, and she does the same for him! He gushed over how his wife changed him for the better in a recent interview with People.
“Tori brought me out of my shell and made me more social,” Zach said. “She gave me confidence.”
