Leah Remini Settles Divorce From Ex Angelo Pagan: Spousal Support & More Settlement Details Revealed

Leah Remini and her ex-husband, Angelo Pagan, hashed out a divorce settlement that covers spousal support and the division of their assets, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Leah, 54, who represented herself in the case, informed the court that she entered into a deal with Angelo, 56.

The actress said the “written agreement” covers “their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support, the original of which is being or has been submitted to the court.”

The agreement covers the issues of spousal support, property and attorney fees.

As In Touch first reported, Leah sold off her six-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 10,000 square-foot home in L.A. for $9 million weeks before the divorce became public. Leah and Angelo wed on July 19, 2003.

Leah filed for divorce on August 29 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The date of separation is listed as August 1. The couple have no minor children.

The filing noted, “The parties chose to resolve this matter through mediation with The Law and Mediation Offices of Tara Scott with Tara Scott as the mediator.” Leah and Angelo said they exchanged all required financial information with the other before executing the deal. “All issues regarding both Parties’ assets and debts are resolved in the further stipulated judgment,” Leah said.

In her petition, Leah cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split after 21 years of marriage. She asked that both parties be cut off from being awarded spousal support. They share an adult daughter, which makes child support a non-issue.

Angelo responded to Leah’s petition without the help of a lawyer. He agreed with Leah that the marriage was over. He asked that both parties’ right to support be terminated. Leah and Angelo announced their split on social media.

The couple said, “Well, here we are. After 28 years together and 21 years of marriage, we have decided to file for divorce. This decision came after a lot of thought and care, and as hard as divorce is, we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it’s what’s best for us. We are proud of how we have worked through this together.”

The two added, “Yes, we’re sad, and we’ve got some figuring out to do as we continue to move forward into our new normal — together still in many ways, and apart in some new ones. But here’s the thing: we’ve been best friends for so many years. We are still celebrating holidays together, watching our favorite tv shows together, and gathering as a family.”

They continued, “So, the big question—why? To put it simply, we both changed, as people do, and we got used to playing roles that didn’t fit us anymore. After a lot of effort and consideration, we’ve decided to take this step, which reflects who we are today. Our bond is still strong—it’s just evolved into something different. We think a marriage that lasted this long and created so many beautiful memories, especially raising our incredible daughter, is something to celebrate.”

The exes ended, “We are sharing this unknown territory with you all as we take our first steps into this next stage of our lives publicly. We would love for everyone to have more access to different kinds of relationship stories and not feel so isolated in navigating the changes that millions of couples make every year. We hope our journey can inspire others to see that relationships — whether they change or end — aren’t failures.”

Leah’s BFF, Jennifer Lopez, has yet to finalize her divorce from Ben Affleck.
