Don’t mess with this mama! Leah Messer is setting the record straight — once and for all — after a Teen Mom 2 fan came for the mother-of-three in her Twitter replies. One hateful “fan” wrote, “I hate how now Leah Messer acts like her s–t don’t stink, b—h was a hardcore drug addict just last season.” Another commenter wrote that he/she “hates” the way MTV “allows her [to] be so fake.”

Understandably, the 25-year-old was not standing for any of this. She tweeted back, “Lol. You guys don’t know anything. I can’t help but ROFL.”

It has long been rumored that Leah struggled with prescription drugs while filming Teen Mom 2, and the rumors were somewhat substantiated when she checked into “treatment” in 2015. Though she has been candid about being in rehab, she has always maintained that she was there to get her mental health in order (most notably, her anxiety and depression), not to fix an alleged drug problem. It was around the same time that her first husband, Corey Simms, got primary custody of their twin daughters (this has since been adjusted) and her second husband, Jeremy Calvert, filed for divorce.

Throughout the years, Leah has been the first person to admit that going to treatment was a crucial step to getting better — and not something she is ashamed of. “I needed help,” she said during an April 2016 appearance on the Steve Harvey Show. “I was on the depression and anxiety track. [I’m focused on] doing it the right way and being able to have that platform to teach girls to do it the right way, and that’s what matters to me.”

Prior to that, she called treatment the “best experience of [her] life.” She gushed, “Treatment isn’t only for addiction. Treatment facilities aren’t just for addicts.”

We’re so thrilled to see Leah living her best life! Not to mention, she most certainly hasn’t let the haters stop her from doing her thang!
