We’re glad he’s okay! Leah Messer‘s family went through a tough time earlier in the week which is why they asked fans for prayers for their dog, Champ after he suffered a really scary coyote attack. But thankfully, the Teen Mom 2 star’s pup is going to be okay.

“Say a prayer for my family!” the reality TV star and mom to three girls — Aleeah Grace Simms, Aliannah Hope Simms, and Adalynn Faith Calvert — tweeted. “I didn’t sleep at all last [night]. We had to take Champ to the vet yesterday and he stayed overnight for surgery. We’re picking him back up today (sic). Needless to say, yesterday was a sad day for us. We’re just so happy that he’s okay!”

The 25-year-old mom of three shared the super scary story of how Champ suffered his terrible injuries. “I let him out to potty and literally within a matter of [five to ten] minutes, a coyote just attacked him outside of my house,” she wrote. “It was traumatizing! I’ll never let him run off his walking leash again. Ever.”

Thankfully, the vet was able to help and it seems like everything is going to be okay with Leah’s pup. “We actually get to go pick him up right now. I think I’m going to cry,” Leah added.

As far as taking preventive matters, Leah is willing to do whatever she has to to make sure this never happens again. “I was up all night looking up things on the Internet. I did see that a fence was an option,” she told her fans. “However, it said that coyotes could jump the fence too. So maybe a really, really large fence. A lot of my property is wooded.” We’re glad to hear the little pupperino is OK!
