Fans are slamming Leah Messer for allowing her daughter to wear makeup — but the Teen Mom 2 star is not having it. After sharing photos of Aleeah Grace on Instagram in her cheer uniform and rocking an impressive smokey eye, her followers were divided on how much makeup is appropriate for an eight-year-old.

However, already predicting the haters that would flood her comments section, Leah clapped back. “It’s that time of year again!?❤️#cheerseason #aleeahgrace #aaa #mygrace #famous #superstars #cheerleading #nonegativity,” she captioned the adorable snaps. “YES, SHES WEARING MAKEUP, Bye ?? ?.” Watch the video below to see the controversial photos.

This did not stop her followers from lecturing the 25-year-old MTV veteran for allowing her daughter to wear makeup. “I’m all for cheerleading but is there really a full on need for heavy foundation?? Glitter eyeshadow and lipstick at a young age whilst doing it seems fine, but to be caked in foundation…” one ~concerned~ fan noted before another added, “Children should not be wearing makeup bc they will be sexualized even more so by the pedos.” Seriously?!

Some did come to the mother-of-three’s defense, and more than approved of Aleeah’s makeup — even wishing they had beauty skills to pull it off. “My makeup doesn’t even look this good…” one commenter jokingly wrote. We think we can all agree with that. Leah is not the first Teen Mom to be criticized for letting their kids wear makeup. Farrah Abraham was recently called out for Sophia’s over-the-top beauty tutorials.

But the Teen Mom OG star recently told In Touch that her daughter’s empire is expanding — despite the haters. “It’s great to be watching her. Sophia started school. She’s doing homeschooling, so she gets to come to more events and that’s awesome,” she said. “I decided to do that because, at school, I didn’t really want to make it about the bullying, dating, those things. It’s focusing more on her studies, traveling the world if she wants to do that while she is going to school. She’s doing more runway so she’ll be at New York Fashion Week. She has a lot going on and this just helps her be the better her.” Who’s here for an Aleeah and Sophia joint makeup tutorial?
