Between a rumored affair and an alleged “serious drug problem,” In Touch Weekly has learned friends of Leah Messer-Calvert are staging an intervention to get the Teen Mom 2 the help she needs.
An insider tells In Touch, “Leah’s not in a good place right now. She’s lost. Her friends think she needs rehab.”
This comes shortly after a man claiming to be her drug dealer told In Touch, “I used to give Leah the pills myself; she’s picked up 30 to 40 pills at a time from me.”
Another source claims MTV is committed to getting the mother-of-three on the right track, and plans to send Leah to the same facility that helped fellow Teen Mom stars Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans.
“MTV would foot the bill,” the source explains. “They’re as shocked about this as the fans and genuinely want her to get help.”
In addition to her alleged drug problem and rumors she cheated on her husband, Jeremy, the West Virginia native has been tasked with additional stress as it’s been revealed her ex-husband, Corey Simms, is fighting for custody of twins Ali and Aleeah.
While it’d be devastating for the 22-year-old, one insider thinks the threat of losing custody may serve as the reality check she so desperately needs.
“Leah loves her children,” the source tells In Touch. “If she thinks she’ll really lose them, she’ll probably go to rehab. And it may just come to that.”
