Lauren Swanson’s Dad Breaks Down in Tears Seeing Her in Wedding Gown Before She Married Josiah Duggar
Heart be still! Lauren Swanson‘s dad, Dwain Swanson, was a ball of emotions on the day of her wedding to Josiah Duggar, and he had the sweetest reaction when he saw his baby girl in her white gown before walking her down the aisle. TLC just released the first Counting On footage previewing their big day on July 18, showing all the behind-the-scenes magic.
Friends and family gathered to watch the happy couple say their “I dos” at the John Brown University Cathedral Of The Ozarks in Siloam Springs, AR, on June 30. Fans couldn’t get over the adorable moment when Dwain caught a glimpse of his 19-year-old daughter ahead of the ceremony, with her veil and lacy dress on, as well as her hair and makeup done to perfection. He couldn’t hold back the tears and was positively beaming with pride.

“Seeing my dad for the first look, it’s hard to put into words just how sweet and special [it is],” Lauren said. “Of all the years he has raised me up, and now… he wouldn’t sell me for a million dollars, but here he is, giving me away.” Lauren’s father even upheld the family tradition by officiating the ceremony. Kendra Caldwell‘s dad also previously officiated, and Joy-Anna‘s husband Austin Forsyth had his father do the honor for their sweet nuptials in 2017.

Tears were flowing everywhere, since Josiah also had the same reaction when he saw his blushing bride heading towards the altar. Lauren and Josiah looked happier than ever while exchanging their vows to each other and sharing their very first kiss. The reality star didn’t hold back while planting a smooch on Lauren, even dipping her back onstage. “It definitely has been a struggle for both of us. Just waiting… it’s like two magnets,” Josiah said. Now, fans are wondering when they’re going to make a baby announcement!
