’90 Day Fiancé’ Couple Laura and Aladin’s Love Story Revealed: Age Gap, Moving to Qatar and More!
A whole new world? Laura and Aladin will be making their big TV debuts tonight, June 3, on the new TLC spinoff, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. The long-distance couple has already sparked comparisons to another fan-favorite pair due to their over 20-year age difference. Now, they will get to share their love story with viewers as they appear on the show with five other couples.
Like many modern-day pairs, Laura, 51, first connected with Aladin, 29, on Facebook and she hopped on a plane to meet him eight months later. She flew to Qatar to see him face-to-face and a few days after, he popped the question. “Aladin is a young, handsome personal trainer, and Laura is afraid their relationship might be too good to be true,” TLC shared about them in a press release.
Laura shared her side of the story in a new clip released on June 2, and it’s obvious she’s head-over-heels. “In 10 days I am leaving everything and moving halfway across the world to be with my fiancé. Aladin is a 30 year old,” she said, until a producer interjected, “not yet he isn’t!”
The reality star cracked up and said his birthday would be coming up soon. Laura continued, “My fiancé is a 29 year old and he is from Tunisia, Africa, but he works in Qatar as a personal fitness trainer. I met Aladin a year a half ago on social media,” she said. “This Tunisian man started chit-chatting with me and I was just like ‘Wow. He’s gorgeous. What is he looking at me for?'”
After seeing the new clip that TLC posted, several fans sounded off in the comment section, addressing how much Laura and Aladin reminded them of fellow 90DF couple, Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi. “I thought it was Angela for a second,” one wrote.
“Here we go again must be a distant relative of Angela,” another fan added, while a third chimed in, “She seems sweet, really hope this goes well for her but we’ve seen it all b4.”
Tonight, fans will also get to watch the love stories of several other couples including Paul and Karine Staehle (who have appeared on the show before). We’ll get to see another big age difference with newcomers Jenny, 60 and Sumit, 30. But that’s not all: viewers will get to meet Tiffany, 27 and Ronald, 29; Corey, 31 and Evelin, 26; as well as Deavan, 22 and Jihoon, 29.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, premieres on June 3 at 9 p.m. on TLC.
