He wants her back, y’all. Lamar Odom got real about his feelings for his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian during an appearance on Sirius XM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show on May 29, including his hopes for a second chance with his former flame — but he’s leaving that up to her.

When Jenny McCarthy asked if the 39-year-old NBA alum saw a future for the once-couple, he was optimistic but seemingly didn’t want to get his hopes up. “I wake up every day hoping that way, but you are going to have to ask her,” he said.

When the radio talk show host asked the fateful question, “Is she still the love of your life?” it was hard not to see the sincerity in Lamar’s eyes. “Yeah,” he replied, looking away before facing the blonde. Clearly, there was a lot of unspoken emotion in the response.

He even spoke on their fast wedding and why he felt he wanted to ~jump the gun~ and put a ring on it. “I love my family with all my heart, but that’s how I knew she was the one,” he explained of his former bride. “Because no one could tell me no, I wasn’t getting married to Khloé.”

In an interview with Us Weekly, Lamar thought that maybe Khlo should be the one deciding if they had a future, despite his desire for one. “As far as I’m concerned,” he said about being open to rekindling. “But that’s a better question for her.”  It seems like a pretty mature thought process for the baller, who gave his ex-wife a rollercoaster ride with his addiction struggles during their marriage.

“I’m just a different man now,” he told the outlet about his change over time. “You know what’s so crazy that you say that because I remember when I came out of the coma [in 2015 after a drug overdose], and I moved in the house in Calabasas in the same housing community that she lives in.”

“Because I was still damn near fried or just basically getting over being fried,” he explained. “I didn’t even know how to show her that I was empathetic, you know what I’m saying, and sorry and that I still loved her. I didn’t know how to go about it.”

Clearly, he knows a thing or two about it now.
