Just last week, videos surfaced of Tristan Thompson cheating on Khloé Kardashian days before the reality star gave birth. Fans on Twitter begged the new mom to say “goodbye” to the NBA player for good, and it looks like Lamar Odom completely agrees — and wants to take his place! Sources exclusively tell In Touch, Khloé’s ex-husband is trying to be there for her during this difficult time, and even “wishes he were the father” of Khloé’s newborn daughter, True Thompson.

“Lamar’s shooting his best shot and trying to crawl back into Khloé’s life now that she’s in a vulnerable spot,” the source explains. “He sent True a plethora of baby clothes, pacifiers, and the best present of all — an infant Clippers and Lakers jersey with his name and old number on the back!”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star filed for divorce from Lamar Odom in 2013 after four years of marriage. However, she withdrew her filing when Lamar suffered a near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in November 2015. Their divorce wasn’t officially finalized until December 2016.

“Lamar knows Khloé’s going through hell and would like to be there for her just like she was for him when he was knocking on death’s door,” the source continues. “He has the utmost respect, love, and admiration for Khloé and is tremendously happy she’s had her first child. Truth be told — Lamar wishes he were the father.”

As for Tristan? A source tells In Touch, Koko’s baby daddy is “unsure as to his future with Khloé.” The source explains, “He’s offered to spend his off days with Khloé and the baby and she said no. He’s offered to pay for two nannies and another assistant to help Khloé with the baby while he’s in the playoffs but she’s declined. He’s really trying to be as active and present as he can, but Khloé tells him she’s got all the help she needs from her family.”

We’re wishing the best for you, Khloé!
