Season 10 of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta hasn’t started filming yet — but there’s already fresh drama brewing!
Former RHOA star Kim Zolciak abruptly left the series during Season 5, but she’s scheduled to return to the cast for the upcoming season — and current cast member Kenya Moore has a theory about why Kim decided to return to the series after all.
“Yeah, Kim is coming back — yes, Kim needs a check so Kim will be back,” Kenya said during an interview with The Breakfast Club, and the 46-year-old suggested that Kim’s spinoff Don’t Be Tardy wasn’t pulling in successful ratings. “The checks were Tardy, so she’s over here trying to catch ours."
The clip was posted to a RHOA fan account on Instagram, and Kim reposted it — and she clapped back at Kenya in the caption.
“Hmm this sh-- is funny!!” the 38-year-old wrote. “[Six seasons] in on Don't Be Tardy, multi-million dollar skincare line in less then [six] months, meanwhile you sell your hair care products out of the trunk of your car and paying Sally's Beauty Supply to do an appearances there AND you are spending what you do have on your [third] paid boyfriend. Sweetie don't try and come for me so you can have a story line for next season.”
The shade! This isn’t the first time Kenya tried to start drama with Kim — the ladies got into a very heated confrontation during the season finale when they ran into each other at OG cast member Sheree Whitfield’s housewarming party at Chateau Sheree.
Kim tried to stand up for her friend Sheree after Kenya started throwing shade at her in her new home, then Kenya turned on Kim and started hitting her with low blows, like mentioning that her NFL star hubby Kroy Biermann hasn’t renewed his contract with the Atlanta Falcons. But Kim isn’t one to back down, and she hit Kenya with an even lower blow.
“Bitch, you want to be me — you want to have a baby, you can’t,” she said. “You want to have a man, you fucking don’t.”
