Is Kim Richards’ future finally looking up following her latest hospitalization?

According to Radar Online, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is currently receiving medical attention after being hospitalized last week on an involuntary 5150 hold, which occurs when a physician — under California law — subjects a patient to a 72-hour hold without their consent because the patient is considered a danger to not only his/her self, but also others.

However, there are conflicting reports concerning the 50-year-old’s current whereabouts, as a source tells E! Online, “Kim is not in rehab right now.”

The mother-of-four has had a hard life and continues to struggle with her sobriety.

The former reality star’s downward spiral began after she was arrested this past April during a “boozy bender.” She ultimately sought treatment and checked into rehab after her family hosted an intervention with Dr. Phil.

Most recently, she was arrested on Aug. 2 for shoplifting at a local Target, beginning her latest downward spiral.

Human Behavioral Specialist Dr. Demartini, who does not treat Kim, spoke to In Touch about her erratic behavior and encouraged Kim and her family to get help once and for all — before it’s too late.

“She has a tremendous amount of wounds and pressure from childhood,” he says, adding that he advises “identifying the trigger, clearing it up and chipping away until there is nothing left.”
