Kim Kardashian can rest a little easier tonight.
French police announced on Monday, Jan. 9, that they've arrested 16 or 17 suspects in connection with the reality star's armed robbery in early October. At the time, masked gunmen stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry from the mother-of-two's Paris hotel room while she was inside.
The arrests were made starting at 6 a.m. in several locations around Paris as well as in surrounding cities, according to the Associated Press. Reports allege that "exploitable DNA" found on a piece of jewelry dropped during the heist led to a break in the case. The $33,000 platinum and diamond-encrusted Jacob & Co. cross was discovered outside by a pedestrian after the robbery.
French newspaper Le Monde suggests that a second set of DNA was found in the hotel and run through France’s national database. Police reportedly followed the suspects for several weeks before the arrests were made.

Kim recently spoke out for the first time about her ordeal in a preview for the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “They’re going to shoot me in the back,” the 36-year-old recalls thinking. “There’s no way out. It makes me so upset to think about it.”
Reports following the incident alleged that the brunette beauty was asleep when the robbers entered her apartment and ordered her out of bed. When she attempted to call a bodyguard, her phone was yanked out of her hands. After being handcuffed, grabbed by the ankles, and placed in the bathtub, Kim allegedly thought she was going to be raped and started screaming, begging the intruders not to kill her.
Though the thieves spoke in French, Kim did recognize one word, "ring," which a source said most likely referred to her upgraded 20-carat sparkler from husband Kanye West.
We're happy to hear that those responsible have finally been caught!
