Kim Kardashian Revamping Her Style for a ‘More Professional Look’ as She Hopes to Pass the Bar Exam

Kim Kardashian is ramping up her legal career, and not just with her crusade to free the Menendez brothers – as a source exclusively lays out for In Touch how she’s studying day and night while planning a major overhaul of her current style, too. 

“Kim’s passion and drive to become a bona fide lawyer is still going strong and her plan is to take the bar exam in February.” 

“She has a ton of work to do to prepare and knows that the odds of passing it the first time aren’t super high, but she’s convinced she can pull it off so she’s really pushing herself hard right now with her studies.” 

The reality T.V. star, 43, has been sharing her journey to become a lawyer with fans over the years. Her father, Robert Kardashian, was also a lawyer and famously part of O.J. Simpson’s legal “Dream Team.” She even passed California’s “Baby Bar” – the exam that comes at the end of a student’s first year in law school – in December 2021. She had failed the test three times previously. 

“OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!” the SKIMS founder announced on Instagram.

“I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!!”

“I know my dad would be so proud and he would actually be so shocked to know that this is my path now but he would have been my best study partner. I am told he was notorious for making fun of people who didn’t pass on their first attempt like he did, but he would have been my biggest cheerleader!” she added.

Kim first announced her aspiration to ascend to lawyer-hood in 2019 and laid out a four-year plan to make it happen, eschewing the more standard three year law school course. 

“If you are doing law school the way I’m doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year program. And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This one’s actually harder, I hear, than the official bar,” she said on her former show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, in May 2021.

The source says now that she’s well on her way to being Kim Kardashian, Esquire, “She wants people to take her more seriously.” 

To do so, she’s planning a total revamp of her style away from her more sultry look and toward a more refined and professional vibe.

“She knows passing the bar will be huge, but she also wants her image to be more traditional, so she’s getting all sorts of mood boards together for her new, more professional look.” 

“She’ll still be sexy, but she wants it to be toned down and classier – less glitter, less hoop earrings and more diamonds, more pearls and more power suits.” 

“Her sisters are all teasing her and accusing her of wanting to cosplay at being a lawyer, but she’s not letting it dissuade her. She feels like she needs to dress for the job she wants and she’s having fun creating her new look.”
