Another day, another Kim Kardashian controversy! Once again, the mother-of-three is under attack for straightening her five-year-old daughter’s naturally curly hair. On July 24, Kim took to Instagram to share an adorable snapshot of North West giving her smiling daddy, Kanye West, a kiss on the cheek.

The photo should have been an opportunity for fans to fawn over the rare family moment, but instead, it became a stomping ground for The Mommy Police. “Uh, who is that? Can’t be North with that straight hair,” one user commented. “For real though, why do you insist on doing this to your daughter?” wrote another.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Kim has faced backlash over North’s look. Back in June, the KKW Beauty mogul was slammed for not only straightening North’s hair, but also for seemingly using clip-in extensions to create a sleek high ponytail for her birthday celebration.

“Take those extensions out of her hair,” one angry fan commented. “I really hate how the Kardashians keep straightening that poor baby’s hair though. North West [is] gonna have heat damage before she’s 10, before I even knew what a straightener was,” another added. However, Kim did have several supporters who were quick to defend her. One fired back: “I can’t believe there is outrage over North West hair being straight. Y’all [are] f—king annoying.”

Kim seemed to be unfazed by the nay-sayers, posting a cute message via Twitter: “North serving LOOKS on her 5th birthday!!!!!” Similarly, Kim has yet to respond to any of the recent hate. If the KarJenners are known for anything — besides their killer curves — it’s their versatile hairstyles. It’s hardly surprising that Kim would pass that down to her daughter. Live and let live, people. It’s not your child’s hair, it’s not your concern!
