As In Touch first reported, the rapper, 40, is embroiled in a bitter lawsuit with his insurance company, who refuses to cover damages that are the result of his canceled Saint Pablo tour (which was canceled after Kanye was hospitalized for a nervous breakdown). “This whole lawsuit can blow up in Kanye’s face, because if this goes to trial, then all of his and Kim Kardashian’s secrets will come out,” a family insider tells In Touch exclusively. “Kanye has opened a can of worms by launching this lawsuit. What comes out could be devastating to Kanye, his marriage to Kim, and the Kardashian family.”

As part of the investigation, the insurance company is seeking unaired footage of Keeping Up With the Kardashians so they can understand the extent of the rapper’s breakdown, and the family has a reason to fear what could be on the tapes. The insider continues, “That could reveal just how fake the show is and damage Kim and Kanye’s credibility.” While it’s unclear what’s been caught on film, the insider suggests that the Kardashians fear the footage could also prove how the famous family members “really” feel about each other, as well as the extent of Scott Disick’s partying.

While the Kardashians are no strangers to scandal — or their secrets being exposed — they have accepted that if the insurance company gets what they want, this will be especially hard to recover from. “This lawsuit can cost Kanye and Kim — and the rest of the Kardashians — a lot,” the insider tells In Touch. “If there’s a trial, they will have to answer some very difficult questions. They pressure is going to be immense, and Kanye, Kim, and the Kardashians may never be the same again.”
