Inside Tristan Thompson and Rob Kardashian’s Close Friendship: ‘They’re Like Brothers’

“Rob adores Tristan and looks up to him,” the insider shares. “Tristan’s helping Rob stay in shape and they’ve been working out together.”
Additionally, the NBA star has been helping girlfriend Khloé Kardashian’s brother step out on the dating scene. “Now Rob’s back on the market again and looking for love, he’s been seeking dating tips from Tristan,” the source notes. “It would make Khloe and Tristan so happy to see Rob settle down with the woman of his dreams.”
Most recently, Rob sparked dating rumors with Instagram model Aileen Gisselle after she posted a video of their date on August 3. Although Rob looked chipper in the footage, the Kardashians are questioning the beauty’s “motives,” another source exclusively told In Touch at the time.
“His protective mom and sisters are cautious, so they’re making sure that Aileen is the right girl for their brother,” the insider shared, adding, “The last thing they want is someone who’s looking to use Rob for fame.”
Despite his family’s fears, the Arthur George founder is “really into” the bombshell, a third source revealed. “Rob is looking better than ever and his confidence is definitely back,” the insider dished. “He’s not saying how much weight he’s lost because he doesn’t want that to be the focus. He feels good and that’s all that matters to him.”
After Khloé and Tristan got back together in July following their February 2019 breakup, the professional athlete has been taking Rob under his wing and guiding him on his fitness journey. “They’ve been working out together at Khloé’s home gym – doing cardio, running, pushups and deadlifting,” a source told Life & Style.
While his loved ones “hope he keeps up the good work,” they are “proud” of how far he has come after “losing so much weight,” the insider gushed. “More than anything, they’re relieved that he’s taking better care of himself.”
With Tristan as Rob’s trainer, the Kardashian brother is destined for success.
