Khloe Kardashian Seemingly Shades Haters Amid Tristan Thompson Reunion: ‘Their Opinions Won’t Pay Your Bills’
Behind closed doors. Khloé Kardashian shared a cryptic quote that seemingly hinted she doesn’t care what the haters think about her reconciliation with the father of her child, Tristan Thompson.
“Remember: Their opinions won’t pay your bills, sis,” read the adage the 36-year-old posted to her Instagram Stories on August 15.
This isn’t the first time the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared a perplexing text about keeping her private life private. “I fell in love with doing my own thing,” Khlo posted a day earlier on August 14. “Minding my business [and] not being accessible like that. I love it here.” On August 12, KoKo shared on her Instagram Stories, “Not a secret, just not your business.”
The Revenge Body host got back together with Tristan, 29, in July following their split in February 2019. The Cleveland Cavaliers player was caught kissing Kylie Jenner‘s former BFF Jordyn Woods at a house party at the time, which cemented the breakup.
Prior to Tristan’s betrayal, he also allegedly hooked up with multiple women in the months leading up to daughter True Thompson‘s birth in April 2018.
It seems the basketball player wanted to atone for his past actions. Tristan “promised [Khloé] he’s a changed man,” an insider told In Touch on July 1. “She says she believes him.” The athlete “spent months begging” the mother of his child to give him another chance. “In the end, she caved,” the source added. “She’s always loved him and always will.”
It appears the couple started making amends while quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic in March. Naturally, self-isolating as a family would do wonders for their daughter and their coparenting skills — but it seemed to be exactly what the pair needed to propel their relationship forward romantically.
“She wanted to keep this relationship to herself for months and she hardly even talked about it with her sisters,” a separate source told In Touch in June. “But now, she doesn’t care. Her whole attitude is that life is short and you only live once so why care what other people think? She’s practicing what she preaches and really not caring what anyone has to say.”
Clearly, Khloé knows what she wants — and she’s not afraid to stick to her convictions.
