Khloe Kardashian Feels ‘Urgency to Stockpile’ Cash by Selling Her Kids’ Clothing Despite Backlash

Khloé Kardashian is coming under fire for hawking her kids’ clothes online after thousands lost everything in the devastating L.A. fires in January and even more kids continue to suffer in poverty in Southern California, but a source exclusively tells In Touch she has zero guilt about it and is laughing off the critics while looking for even more ways to bring in extra cash.

“Khloé is very aware that her time in the spotlight may not last forever, so she does feel an urgency to stockpile as much money as she can while she has this amazing opportunity,” the source says. “She finds it funny that people assume she would be wasteful simply because she’s wealthy. That is not her style, her mom has taught her well when it comes to being savvy with money.” 

Khloé, 40, faced intense scrutiny after posting an ad on Instagram featuring her son Tatum, 2, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson, wearing a hoodie that’s now for sale. “They grow up too fast,” her post read. “Shop tatum’s looks now on kardashiankloset,” she posted, along with a link to the online shop. To be clear: Khloé is selling her kid’s used clothing, which for most families is either handed down or donated once grown out of – as many have pointed out – and is something mortified onlookers are now trashing her for.

“The amounts they are charging for these kids clothes are like pennies to them, too. just f–king donate them. so gross.” One social media user wrote.

“It’s beyond embarrassing it’s reprehensible!!! Pretty soon they’re gonna start selling Timmy‘s clothes,” another added, referencing Khloé’s sister Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Timothée Chalamet.

“There are children in the foster system with just a trash bag full of their things to take from house to house. Meanwhile she’s selling her child’s f–king clothes,” another irate observer noted.

The backlash was intensified by the timing of the ad, which came in the wake of the January fires that tore through L.A., with many criticizing the cash grab as insensitive considering how many people lost their homes, clothes and just about everything else in the disaster.

But, according to the source, Khloé, who has an estimated net worth of $60 million, has money on her mind pretty much constantly and is shrugging off the criticism in favor of continuing to stack cash.

“If she has something that’s worth money, she isn’t going to just toss it away,” the insider says. “She insists that she’s generous to the people that work for her and shares plenty with them, but there’s just so much there’s no sense letting all that revenue go to waste.”

As the insider notes, supply and demand dictate Khloé’s worldview, and there is indeed a demand for her kid’s used clothing.

“Fans are willing to pay for it and she loves buying clothes for her kids. If she can keep their shopping fund stocked by reselling their gently used items, she will and she has no shame in her game about it.
