So, Tristan Thompson DID Show Up to True’s Big Birthday Bash and Crossed Paths With Khloé Kardashian
Well, well, well … Tristan Thompson did end up making an appearance at True‘s first birthday party, which means his ex Khloé Kardashian must have passed along the invite. Although the parents have a tumultuous relationship, it seems that they are keeping things civil for their daughter’s sake. Although one ~awkward~ encounter was caught on camera between the two, they seemingly stayed in their perspective corners for the duration of the soirée.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 34, documented most of the party on social media, including when she crossed paths with her baby daddy, 28. She was holding True while chatting and Tristan swooped in to snag his daughter. The reality starlet turned around abruptly to see who it was and she didn’t look thrilled. However, they’re obviously trying to make coparenting work.
There’s one huge clue that the NBA player was included prior to the festivities of the day — his clothes. the Good American designer rocked coordinating outfits with her precious baby for the get-together. “Mommy and me matching dresses,” she captioned a video on her Instagram Story while she was getting ready.
The two ladies stunned in baby blue dresses and were sure to pose for lots of photos together. Tristan’s ensemble also matched with a light blue T-shirt and layered with a checkered blue button-down. Now, maybe great minds think alike (insert joke about the baller’s intelligence here) but it’s safe to assume that his baby mama probably clued him in.
Tristan and Khloé have had their issues from the first cheating scandal that happened days before she gave birth to his most recent tryst with Jordyn Woods. However, she promised fans that she won’t let whatever is going on between the two affect their child. “He is a good dad to her,” the blonde beauty tweeted on March 16 praising the Cleveland player’s paternal instincts. “My sweet and special baby True will NEVER be put in the middle of him and I. I can promise that.”

Although she later admitted in a March 26 tweet that it’s been a “rough month” emotionally, it looks like True’s big milestone was just what she needed. The lavish party was dripping in cool pastel blues, pinks and yellows. Of course, the Revenge Body host went all out for her first daughter’s big day. The celebration was a kid’s absolute dream complete with a cotton candy station, pony rides, a ball pit, bubbles and butterflies everywhere you turned.
Instead of having guests bring gifts for her daughter, Khloé requested that they bring presents for the Los Angele Children’s Hospital and it looked like they had a hefty stack to donate.
