Kelly Clarkson Makes Surprise Pregnancy Announcement
Kelly Clarkson made an unexpected announcement last night at her concert – she's pregnant with baby No. 2!
The 33-year-old broke down in tears during her performance of "Piece by Piece" last night at the Los Angeles Staples Center and quickly explained why she was so emotional.
"I was not planning on announcing this, but I'm pregnant," she said. "Totally pregnant."
"I’m having a really hard time [getting through the song],” she explained.
“I’m gonna nail the s— out of this song. That was not how I wanted to announce that … I hate this song right now,” she joked. "This is not how I wanted to announce that. My makeup artist is backstage just, like, hating me. I didn't want you to think I'm on pills or something weird."
The singer and her husband Brandon Blackstock, 38, welcomed their first baby together last June. Their daughter River Rose is now 14-months-old.
After finishing the song, Kelly apologized to Brandon for accidentally revealing the news.
“I’d like to apologize to my husband. That was not planned. I just didn’t want you to think I was crazy or something. Honestly, I’m just so hormonal today. … I haven’t vomited yet. That is a freakin’ win, y’all.”
