Kailyn Lowry Mommy-Shamed for Posting Nearly Nude Photo on Instagram — “Feeling Free”
Can a girl live? Kailyn Lowry took to Instagram to share some more pics from her recent vacation to Jamaica — but fans criticized the Teen Mom 2 star for posting a nude photo on the social media platform. According to her followers, Kail should have considered her three boys before showing off her curves.
“Jamaica had me feeling free,” Kail captioned the sexy snap, which set off a mommy-shaming debate in her comments section. “You seem so desperate so you really want any of your kids seeing these when they get older? They are going to get bullied by their friends so bad,” one user wrote before another added, “This is whats on your mind when your kids are present. You’re a terrible mother.”
However, many of her longtime fans came to her defense. “Let’s talk about the good things… she graduated from DSU while taking care of two children. She balanced career, family, and soccer games. She is a business woman… she deserves applause,” one commenter responded. Damn right!
Last week, she was also criticized for posing a nearly naked photo showing off her Kim K. booty from the same vacation. She promptly clapped back at the trolls who called her hypocritical since she underwent plastic surgery in the past. She pointed out that the “results were wayyyy better before” her third pregnancy. “Gained lots of extra inches back there,” she explained.
In 2016, Kailyn did undergo a mommy makeover courtesy of Dr. Miami, but it was not a quick fix. “For years I struggled with eating disorders, and I was extremely self-conscious about my weight,” she wrote in her book, Hustle and Heart. “I’d committed so thoroughly to working out and maintaining a healthy diet, but it was clear there was only so much I could do to change the shape of my body.”
She continued, “My decision to get plastic surgery came down to one simple thing: I’m human. I care how I look. I knew that being satisfied with my outer appearance would give me the confidence I needed to face the world head on. For me, the things that I wanted to change about my body were nagging little distractions from the deeper missions I wanted to work on.”
As for her kids, we think they will be just fine. Love Teen Mom? Be sure to join our Teen Mom Facebook group to chat about all the latest updates and juicy gossip!
