We love to see exes on good terms! Justin Theroux recently gushed about Jennifer Aniston after the 50-year-old joined Instagram earlier this month. The 48-year-old said that he is “so proud” of his former love for breaking the record for gaining the most followers in the shortest amount of time.

“She has sworn she was not gonna do it, and then she did it,” he said of her social media debut to Extra on Tuesday, October 22. “I’m so proud of her — I thought it was so great.”

He added that Jen is going to be one to watch on the ‘gram. “The world’s about to learn what a hilarious woman she is if they don’t already,” he said. “She’s gonna be good at this.”

Justin also said the actress could not be pushed into going online. “[She] had to do it in her own time,” he told Access Hollywood. Justin was one of the first people Jen followed when she joined the platform. He also made a sweet comment on the first photo she posted. “Woot-Woot! #First,” he wrote under a photo of Jen and the cast of Friends.

Jen and Justin are clearly still very close, although they went their separate ways in February 2018 after less than three years of marriage. “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple but look forward to containing our cherished friendship,” they said in a statement at the time.

Along with Justin, many of Jen’s other celebrity friends are thrilled to see her on their newsfeeds. “ARE YOU AND ROSS STILL TOGETHER??,” commented Kaitlyn Bristowe, to which Jen replied to the Friends reference writing, “Well we’re on a break.” We already see her comedic genius shining through!

Although she was hesitant to join Instagram, she eventually caved. “What you resist, persists. I think it is something that is a part of our world now, and it’s not going away,” she told Entertainment Tonight days before her surprise debut. Now that she’s on, she told Jimmy Kimmel that she is working on building “content.” Bring it on, Jen!
