Justin Bieber Shares His Mugshots, Reminds Us That Jail Is Not a Cool Place to Be

PSA alert! Justin Bieber took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 20, to share two of his mugshots — and to also remind his fans that going to jail is not a good look.

The 23-year-old pop star posted a side-by-side collage of himself rocking an orange jumpsuit (and looking kinda cute, TBH) following a 2014 arrest in Miami after he was charged with a DUI, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license. Justin, who was just 19 at the time, was caught drag-racing a Lamborghini late at night.

“Mugshot,” JB — whose hair is perfectly coifed in the photos — captioned the post, and included several cautionary hashtags: “#jailsnotacoolplacetobe, #notfun #neveragain.”

In September 2015, the “Love Yourself” singer opened up about his brief stint in jail in a no-holds-barred interview with Complex magazine.

“The cop supposedly wanted to be famous for arresting celebrities, and someone had heard him say that prior to that. I wasn’t drinking. I blew the thing and I had 0.01. I might have had a beer earlier in the day or something,” Justin — who spent 24 hours in jail — said at the time, adding that his cell was “freezing” and “uncomfortable.”

However, his fellow inmates weren’t so bad. “I had people who were yelling at me. They were saying, ‘Bieber! We f–k with you, bro! We love you! Aye! Keep your head up, bro!’” he told Complex. “It was kind of funny to hear that, especially from cats in jail.”

While he would never want to be incarcerated again, the Biebs told the publication that he has no regrets about his troubled past. “I wouldn’t take back anything. I wouldn’t do anything over again. I would do it all the same way,” he said. “I’m not going to say I’m sorry for the things that I’ve done because I think that it allows me to tell a story.”
