What the..? Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are receiving some pretty major backlash on social media after promoting a marriage testimony they are set to give at the Fort Rock Family Camp's Spring Marriage Retreat at the end of April. Fans went into a frenzy in the couple's comments section on Instagram giving them hate for trying to hand out advice when they've only been married for less than one year themselves. Watch the video above and see what the fans had to say!

While some people were intentionally nasty, others sarcastically gave their opinions about why this is such a bad idea. "Ah yes, the testimony of two sheltered people. Just what I want to hear at a marriage retreat," one person said. Another wrote, "Joy has literally next to zero life experience outside being under Jim Bob's thumb and I get the vibe from Austin that he's a control freak. Good luck with that life, kids."

Joy-Anna responded to the backlash and said that no testimony is "too small" for the Lord. She explained that she'll be using her platform at the event to speak about how the Lord brought her and Austin together. With Joy-Anna and Austin set to spread the word about their relationship, there is no confirmation yet on if any of the other Duggars will also make an appearance.

Austin and Joy-Anna announced their engagement in March 2017 — the pair were longtime friends but only dated for less than one year. She told Us Weekly, "We just got engaged! I'm so excited to be engaged to my best friend — Austin made it so romantic, it's amazing!"

We had a great time at the Fort Worth Stockyard. I grew up going to Texas rodeos but this is our first together. #thelonestarstate #texan #bullriding

Three months later, they were hitched and Austin told the TLC cameras — during an episode of Counting On — how great it was not to have a chaperone following them around anymore. "Now that we're finally married and we don't have a chaperone, it is a lot different. It is pretty cool that we can just go places on our own and we don't have to have someone watching us. It is pretty amazing," he shared. The couple welcomed their first child, Gideon Martyn Forsyth, in February.
