Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth Skip Family’s West Coast Adventure for Their Own Road Trip
On the road again! While many of the Duggars are off on a California adventure, two members of the family opted to take a road trip of their own. Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth, headed to Colorado together instead of joining Joy’s family for a Los Angeles visit to see her sister Jinger Duggar.
Joy, 21, shared a photo of herself and her hubby on her Instagram Story on October 9 and wrote, “Headed to Colorado!! Getting some fuel for the road.” It’s not clear what Austin, 25, is clutching in the shot, but Joy held an ice cream while smiling at the camera. Good choice, girl!
The Counting On star also added a photo from the road, featuring some beautiful changing leaves on trees on the side of the road. “Fall colors!!!” she wrote. “Can’t wait to get out into the mountains and see even more of this!”
It’s not clear whether or not Joy and Austin’s son, Gideon, is along for the trip too. And they don’t seem to be planning to join up with some of the other members of her family who are currently running around Hollywood.
After stopping for a visit to the Grand Canyon, many of the Duggars who are still in Arkansas headed to L.A. to see Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo. (Not to mention their adorable little girl, Felicity!) Photos that Jana Duggar shared revealed that the reality TV family checked out the Brady Bunch house, plus the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the handprints at the TCL Chinese Theater. That’s quite an adventure!
It seems to be the Counting On family’s first time visiting the city since the Vuolos moved back in June, and it’s interesting that Joy and Austin decided not to join the others. However, it doesn’t look like other family members like Jill Duggar and her family or Jessa Duggar and hers made the trek, either. Who knows why some of the Duggars went and others didn’t? Maybe everyone else had commitments. If Joy and Austin had already set dates for an epic Colorado road trip, we don’t blame them for deciding to stick to that plan.
