She's basically already a Duggar! Josiah Duggar and his fiancée Lauren Swanson haven't tied the knot yet, but Lauren definitely is part of the family now. He took to Instagram on Saturday, June 16to share a cute photo of the couple after a game of badminton and fans noticed Lauren wasn't wearing shoes, which is definitely a Duggar thing.

"I didn’t know badminton could make me break a sweat… until I played Lauren!" Josiah wrote in the caption of the photo. Fans took to the comments to point out Lauren's choice to not wear footwear. "Is she barefoot?" one fan asked, and another wrote, "She had the advantage…..BAREFOOT [sic]!"

For some reason, the Duggars seem to prefer to be barefoot. Jill infamously went barefoot at her wedding to husband Derick Dillard, and Jessa also didn't wear shoes to her wedding rehearsal and many of their sisters have been seen out in public without footwear. It's unclear why Duggars like to be barefoot, but it's definitely a thing.

But soon, Josiah and Lauren will tie the knot and she'll officially be a barefoot Duggar. The couple's wedding date is reportedly set for New Year's Eve 2019 but fans are suspicious that the date actually may be a lot sooner because Josiah and Lauren just celebrated their wedding shower. Traditionally, the shower is held not long before the actual wedding date.

Josiah popped the question to Lauren back in March, and the couple announced their engagement in a video clip. "Lauren and I are so excited to announce that we are engaged," Josiah said in the clip. "Lauren said yes… Definitely had a lot of help from a lot of different siblings getting this going." Lauren added, "It's exciting to be engaged. I'm still surprised at the idea but I'm just looking forward to making memories with Josiah."
