Josh and Anna Duggar Get Playful in Rare Family Photo With Kids

We may not get to see as much of him these days (or have to see as much of him, depending on your personal feelings), but every now and then Josh Duggar gives us a glimpse into how he’s doing on social media. Well, technically, his wife Anna Duggar gives us a glimpse into how he’s doing. And in their latest family photo, it looks like the couple is getting along pretty great these days. When the whole Duggar family gathered for an ugly Christmas sweater party, Josh and his family showed up dressed to the nines.

But they didn’t just come in costume, they also got involved with the rest of the celebrations. Daughter Mackynzie teamed up with her cousin Emily to bake some holiday treats, of course, and they turned out pretty fabulous. But Josh and Anna also gathered all the Duggar kids with M-names so that they could pose for an adorable family photo. In it, the kids are making all kinds of funny faces — well, except for Meredith and Mason, who look like they might be up past their bed time — and even mom and dad are playing along. The couple may not have been totally smooth-sailing in their marriage, but after Anna rejoined Instagram earlier this year, it seems like they’ve been doing pretty well. They’ve also spent a lot of time with the rest of Josh’s siblings and their families even though he doesn’t make the cut on Counting On. To celebrate the holiday, they also gathered up with the rest of the family (and extended family, and it looks like some friends, too!) for one big group photo.

“Looks like a new tradition has been born at the Duggar home!” Anna wrote on Instagram. “We had the first annual dUGgarLY (ugly) sweater party! Lots [of] laughter, enjoying the beauty of family, fun, and maybe a little too much dessert! … P.S. John David was the official ‘ugly sweater’ winner this year.”

The whole night looks like so much fun — but we also can’t help but wonder what some of the family members are wearing. Like, did not everyone get the memo that it’s an ugly Christmas sweater party? We’re pretty sure some of the family members just showed up dressed ugly. But hey, it seems like everyone had a blast, no matter what kind of ugly sweater they had on.
