Kendra Caldwell Gives Birth to Baby No. 1 With Her Husband Joseph Duggar
Another grandbaby for the ever-growing Duggar family! Joseph Duggar and his wife Kendra Caldwell are now parents to a newborn baby boy after Kendra gave birth to the couple’s first child together on Friday, June 8. The Duggars excitedly announced the birth of Joe and Kendra’s baby on Saturday, June 9 — which marks baby No. 1 for Joe and Kendra.
Joe’s parents, former 19 Kids and Counting stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, took to the reality TV family’s website to reveal more details about their newest addition. Joe and Kendra decided to name their baby son Garrett David. Baby Garrett was born at 1:38 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces and he measured in at 20-and-a-half inches long.
“We are so thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest grandbaby, Garrett David Duggar. Kendra and the baby are healthy and happy! Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes!” Jim Bob and Michelle wrote in a statement that was shared on their website.
Of course, the new parents also released a statement of their own where they gushed over their new little bundle of joy. “No matter how many times we’ve experienced the joy of babies born in our families, there’s nothing comparable to the joy in our hearts today! Children truly are a gift from God. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and this new journey as parents,” Joe and Kendra said in their statement.
Joe and Kendra tied the knot in September 2017 and just three months later, the couple announced that they were expected baby No. 1 together. Baby Garrett is the second Duggar grandbaby to be born this year. Baby Gideon Forsyth was born in March 2018 to parents Joy Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth. Meanwhile, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are due to welcome their first child together later this summer.
