Jonah Hill and His Weight Loss Managed to Steal the Spotlight From ‘SNL’ Host James Franco!

Lookin’ good! Jonah Hill‘s weight loss has been making headlines in recent years — but lately, the actor appears to be thinner than ever, and fans cannot get over his transformation.

Though James Franco was hosting the Dec. 9 episode of SNL, viewers couldn’t stop talking about Jonah’s disappearing frame after he crashed his pal’s opening monologue. “Wow!!!!!!! Jonah Hill you look amazing bud!” one Twitter user wrote, while another said, “i wish i could lose weight as fast as jonah hill.”

But not everyone was kind about his slimmer figure. “Wow, Jonah Hill looks like crap after the weight loss. That’s gunna take some getting used to…” a third person wrote, while someone else added, “Please bring back the rounder Jonah Hill ASAP. This one doesn’t look healthy.”

Though people were surprised to see the Oscar nominee looking so skinny, he’s actually been showing off his changing physique for over a year. Check out the video below to see more pics of his slim-down!

Jonah has opened up in the past about his weight loss regimen, which doesn’t sound easy. He admitted he gains a little back when he drinks beer — something he has a hard time giving up. “I went to a nutritionist and I said, ‘I’ll lose weight, I’ll eat healthier or whatever, but figure out how I can drink beer,’” he hilariously revealed. “It’s so annoying because if I don’t drink beer, I get really, really thin. Then when I drink beer, I get a little bigger.”

He also shared that a “Japanese diet” and change in attitude contributed to his body size. “Getting in better shape is a sign of maturity. I think you are taken more seriously,” he explained. Whatever he’s doing seems to be working, so keep up the great work, Jonah! Scroll through the gallery below to see how much the actor has transformed over the years.
