Look Out, Kate — Jon Gosselin’s Custody Win Of Son Collin Is Reportedly ‘Just The Beginning’
Last week, former Jon and Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin scored a major victory in court — temporary custody of his son, Collin. Now, a source tells Life & Style magazine that the win is “just the beginning” for the father-of-eight.
“Jon has been trying to do everything by the book in order to obtain custody of Collin and it’s finally paid off,” an insider told the publication. “He really feels blessed.”
For months, Jon has been growing closer to Collin, who has been living at a treatment facility for children with special needs. But the insider says he’s had to work hard to bond with the 14-year-old — and his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, hasn’t exactly been a big help.
“Even though Kate didn’t have Collin living under her roof, she made it nearly impossible for Jon to see him,” the source explained of the teen, who is expected to return home by the end of the year. “Jon is ecstatic to finally get custody.”
But Collin won’t be the only sextuplet living with his dad when his treatment is complete. Collin’s sister, Hannah, has been living with the 41-year-old for the past few months. “This is just the beginning for Jon,” they said. “The kids are growing up and making their own decisions.”
And while the other kids aren’t exactly on board just yet — twins Mady and Cara, 18, haven’t spoken to their dad in years — Jon is hopeful. “He’s very patient and will do whatever it takes to get custody of as many of his kids as he can,” the source concluded. “He’s really serious about it.”
