Joining Hannah At Dad’s House? Jon Gosselin Reportedly Files For Full Custody Of Son Collin
Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin recently enjoyed a sweet reunion with his son Collin Gosselin and now, it’s been revealed that he filed for full legal and physical custody on Oct. 24! Jon reportedly claimed it would be in Collin’s best interest to live with him after the teen’s release from an inpatient center, according to Radar.
Fans were shocked to see the 14-year-old make a rare appearance on Jon’s Instagram page. “Had a good weekend visit with Collin at home!” the proud papa, 41, captioned his latest snap which also featured Hannah, in Reading, PA. Jon even took Collin to the barber shop for a fresh cut during their visit. Back in May, Jon and Hannah enjoyed quality time with Collin. “Glad I could celebrate my son Collin’s 14th birthday with him and his sister!” Jon wrote. Hannah has been living with her father since this spring, so if Jon’s request does get approved, Collin will be joining them.
Jon and his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, have eight children together — 14-year-old sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel and twins Mady and Cara, both 18. Back in 2016, Kate made the tough decision to send Collin to an away-from-home program, since she had primary custody of the kids at the time. Kate felt this way the only way for Collin to get the attention that he deserves because he has special needs. The former TLC star explained that she knew it was the right decision, even though it meant Collin couldn’t be near friends or family members.
Collin is “enrolled in a program that is helping him learn the skills he needs to be the best him he can be,” Kate told People in 2016. “We miss him so much, so it’s been hard because there is a huge hole in our family without him here. But it comforts us to know he’s where he needs to be right now, and I can feel good about that.” It looks like there may be a new living arrangement soon!
