Pregnant Jinger Duggar Is Taking Her Sister Jessa’s Advice and Enjoying Those Extra Calories!
Sisters know best! It's safe to say Jinger Duggar — who is expecting her first child with husband, Jeremy Vuolo — is probably getting a lot of parenting advice at the moment, but of all the siblings, we have to say that Jessa Duggar's advice for her little sister is the best. Jessa told her sister to have fun eating the extra calories she's allowed to have while growing a baby Duggar — and it looks like Jinger is taking her advice!
Jinger took to Instagram on Friday, April 27 to share a photo of herself showing off her baby bump as she indulged in one of her pregnancy cravings — the Potbelly Sandwich Shop! "I guess this is what happens when you decide to eat at @potbellysandwichshop #grilledchickenbreastsub #28weekspreggo," Jinger cheekily wrote in the caption.
In a recent TLCMe video, Jessa shared her baby knowledge — she's already a mom to Spurgeon, 2, and Henry, 1, — and what it's been like swapping stories about her own pregnancies with what Jinger is going through. "It's so much fun talking to Jinger. She's been going through this pregnancy journey and she's been drawing out all of the different things she's experiencing," Jessa said. Not only has Jessa been telling Jinger not to worry about the changes her body is going through, but she's also been encouraging her to "enjoy those extra calories!"
However, there is one thing Jessa got totally wrong when it came to Jinger's pregnancy, and that was the sex of her baby. "My guess was [a] boy. I knew that Jinger and Jeremy had originally guessed boy when they found out they were expecting," she explained. "We've been on the boy train for such a long time, I was just sure it was a boy. So when I saw that sign come on pink, I screamed so loud."
Jinger and Jeremy revealed the sex of their baby in the form of an obstacle course where they split their family members up into two groups — a pink team and a blue team. Each member of the groups had to finish a single serving container of ice cream before running through the course. The first captain of each team to finish the race was given the honor of flipping a switch on a light board that spelled out, "Baby," which lit up pink at the end of the race — signaling that the couple was expecting a girl!
"We are so happy to announce that we are having a little baby girl!" the couple told People. "We could not be more excited and are eagerly anticipating meeting our little lady this summer."
While Jinger is patiently awaiting the arrival of her daughter, she can't help but think of the future. "I'm so excited that our kids are going to grow up together," she told Jessa. "Having little cousins, there will be plenty of fun, and little ones for them to play with each other."
