Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Have a Seven-Year Age Gap

Is it just us, or does anyone else think it’s wild Jeremy Vuolo is in his 30s? While, no, he’s old in the grand scheme of life, per say, he’s not exactly a spring chicken compared to Jinger Duggar. Jer just celebrated his 31st birthday earlier this week, and although age is just a number for most people, we’re surprised Jim Bob and Michelle overlooked this lil’ detail. Ya know, the fact that Jinge is only 24.

The famous family — who star on TLC‘s hit show Counting On — abides by a long list of strict rules including no hand-holding before getting engaged, no private conversations while courting, and no front-hugging, well, pretty much ever. And while most of Jinge’s siblings and their significant others are just a couple years apart, these two are pretty much in different generations. That’s an exaggeration… but you get it.

That said, Jinger — who gave birth to their daughter Felicity in July — has long been known as the “rebel” child of her family. Not only was she the one to start the pants-wearing trend, but she was also once rumored to be on birth control. When Jinger had been married for 11 months without any baby news, fans began calling her a “birth control rebel” and speculated that the couple was using protection or a “natural family planning” method to avoid getting pregnant.

In other words, seven years is nothin’ for a majority of the public, but when the Duggars can’t even send a text without their parents knowing, we’re surprised they even considered Jeremy to date their daughter.
