Critics are sounding off again! Jinger Duggar faced major backlash from mom-shamers for allowing Felicity to wear mittens. The Counting On star shared the sweetest photo of her daughter all bundled up while sleeping in a bassinet over the weekend and it seems the hate was bad enough that she disabled the comments on her photo.

“Those mitts are so stupid. They need to self soothe and they can’t with those mitts…get them off. They aren’t going to take their eyes out,” one person wrote before Jinger turned off her comments. “Free the hands! Better for her development,” another chimed in. There are some benefits to letting babies wear mittens according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, because it can typically keep them from scratching their face (and their parents too).

However, some fans did have Jinger’s back to the fullest and so did her sister, Jill Duggar, who admitted to loving baby mittens. “For goodness sakes, it’s her baby,” one person responded to the nay-sayers. “If she wants to put gloves on her hands, it’s entirely her choice. Geez,” while another added: “Support one another’s decisions. Gloves or no gloves, it’s a personal choice.”

Despite the criticism, Jinger and proud papa Jeremy Vuolo have continued to share adorable snaps of their little girl. The 24-year-old star and her hubby are embracing parenthood to the fullest after welcoming their bundle of joy into the world in July. Jeremy, 31, recently took to Instagram on Sept. 13 to gush over Felicity while staring sweetly into her eyes. “She’s all smiles these days,” he captioned the snap. We’re glad they’re always focusing on the positive!
